Ok, this fun conversation has just turned ugly. What right do you have to decide what I think or what my opinion is? Who the hell are you to tell me that some Hollywood socialist liberal asshole is qualified to tell me anything.
The point in not what you had to do in high school nor is it whether peoples negative attitudes about gays is wrong (and I hope you know the difference between ?trav? and Bob) it?s about media source (movies, news papers, TV etc.) using their power to try to control and influence me.
If it was 20 years I would be arguing this from the other side.
For a so-called Libertarian you have some funny ideas.
"The Passion of the Christ is at once a well-crafted film, a merciless excursion into motion-picture ultraviolence, and a regrettably cramped historical account that stays doggedly on the surface of its overwhelmingly important subject."
-- David Sterritt, CHRISTIAN SCIENCE MONITOR
"The director claims he had no intention of making an anti-Semitic film and we tend to believe him, in much the same way we believe Larry Flynt when he says he's not misogynist."
-- Pat St. Germain, JAM! MOVIES
"the cinematic equivalent of a Rorschach inkblot: You will probably see in it whatever you choose to see in it. "
-- James Sanford, KALAMAZOO GAZETTE
"The extreme violence does not teach a lesson; it's an end in itself, more suited to the S&M crowd than to anyone seeking an uplifting sermon on everlasting redemption."
-- Glenn Lovell, SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS

"A filmed bloodletting like no other on record, essentially a terribly graphic two-hour torture sequence."
-- Tom Long, DETROIT NEWS
Why do you think opinions of movie critics will have any influence with me?
"'A Biblical snuff film'"
